Calgary police are investigating a stabbing incident involving a 14-year-old boy that occurred near John G. Diefenbaker High School in northwest Calgary on Monday afternoon. The incident has raised concerns about safety in the area and has prompted an ongoing investigation by the authorities.

The stabbing took place around 4:30 p.m. in a green space located in the 300 block of 64th Avenue Northeast, close to John G. Diefenbaker High School and St. Helena School. Calgary Police Service (CPS) and emergency crews responded to reports of the stabbing at approximately 4:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found the teenage boy outside the school with stab wounds to his arm and upper back. Paramedics transported the victim to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
As of Tuesday morning, police reported that the boy’s condition had been upgraded to stable.
